We hired Josh Dukes for our wedding last June – and he made our reception a hit! Our wedding planner referred us to Josh, and after speaking with other DJs on the phone we were about ready to give up on finding a fun DJ that was not cheese-ball wedding corny.
Having been to other weddings where the DJs spoke non-stop and handed out glow sticks and feather boas, I knew what I didn’t want at my wedding. When we spoke with Josh we loved his clam laid back demeanor, and were reassured by his prompt reply to all of our emails and phone calls. Josh has a great on-line system which allows you to select favorite songs (and ban those pesky songs that everyone hates, but still manages to be played at way to many weddings – “We Are Family” by Sister Sledge anyone?…).
Josh kept our friends and family dancing all night, spoke only when necessary to keep things going smoothly, and took the time to speak with us to get the general vibe we wanted at our wedding. Josh provided music for our ceremony, cocktail hour and our reception. He set up his systems in three different locations, and everything went off without a hitch. We gave Josh a lot of freedom with song selection and he did an amazing job!
